Power and grid
Swedish electricity debates mix five different questions: whether energy exists in the country, whether megawatts can be connected at a property, how long that takes, how reliable the supply is, and what the bill components are. A hydropower-rich national mix does not answer a local connection request. Start with the network owner, then read indicative maps as maps — not as reserved capacity.

Reading order
Use this sequence for an unfamiliar Swedish file. Skip a step only when you already have a dated primary source for it.
- Name the network owner and voltage level you are actually talking to.
- Separate bidding-area price from connection capacity.
- Classify every MW figure: IT, facility, site, utility, or unclear.
- Ask what document you would accept as evidence — inquiry, reservation, agreement, or energized load.
What this hub will not do
Svenska kraftnät publishes an indicative transmission-network capacity map. The authority’s own framing is that it does not replace the formal connection process and does not show underlying-network capacity. DataCenterSweden therefore does not redraw that map as a promise of spare megawatts.
