Fibre and backhaul for inland campuses
Does a dense Stockholm interconnection market give an inland hall two diverse ducts, or only a long backhaul story? It does not give the ducts. Post- och telestyrelsen’s broadband mapping describes household and business access — more than 98 percent of households and companies had access to at least 1 Gbit/s in October 2025, either as a connection or with a network in the immediate vicinity. That sentence is not a dark-fibre census for a campus in Falun or Sollefteå. Stokab, owned by the City of Stockholm, leases dark fibre on equal terms and names data centres among its customer types; its own figures describe greater Stockholm, not Hamre. Netnod operates internet exchanges in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Sundsvall–Gävle and Luleå, and sells a Remote IX service. Remote IX is a product. It is not an on-net meet-me room in the hall you are sitting in. Two logos on a Kista slide are still not two independent entries in Långsele.

Reading order
Start with the building. Ask how many diverse entries exist, who owns them, and which meet-me room is in this hall rather than in a campus next door. Then ask which carriers have a physical presence in that room. Only then read a market sentence about Stockholm. The parent connectivity note already makes that split. This page asks the inland follow-up: what sits between this hall and the first place where those carriers and exchanges actually live.
Then separate three fibre objects. Access broadband in PTS’s mapping is a household and business product. Dark fibre is a passive pair someone else lights. An internet exchange is a peering fabric at a named point of presence. Stokab is a Stockholm dark-fibre wholesaler. Netnod is an exchange operator with several Swedish IXes. Neither letterhead is a duct into a named inland hall unless a dated order says so.
Then read latency as either a measured path at a stated time or a vendor comparison. Netnod’s Luleå page says a packet exchanged locally arrives 10 ms faster than backhauling on a transit route to Stockholm. That is Netnod’s comparison on that page. It is not a measured circuit from your cage, and it is not a route map. This page will not draw routes.

Why inland is a different file
A Stockholm metro hall can sit near several Netnod points of presence that Netnod itself lists — Equinix halls, GleSYS Västberga, GlobalConnect Sätra, Digital Realty, STACK in Upplands Väsby, Stokab KN7 and others on the PoP page. Presence on that list is still not a cross-connect in your cage. An inland hall is farther from that density. The question is not whether Sweden “has fibre.” PTS’s mapping exists because the government asked for national access and coverage evidence. The question is which owner will pull a diverse pair to this cadastral unit, at what diversity, and which exchange is then on-net.
Stokab’s English home page states more than 23,000 access points, 24,011 in the figures block, 2.03 million kilometres of fibre optic, 1,821 new connections delivered in 2024, and coverage of more than 90 percent of households and 99 percent of commercial properties in the greater Stockholm area. Point-to-point can be ordered in the City of Stockholm, surrounding municipalities and around Lake Mälaren. The company is owned by the City of Stockholm and leases dark fibre, with no active termination, to internet operators, data centres, banks and property owners on equal terms. Those are Stockholm-region wholesale sentences. They do not travel to Sollefteå as a municipal fibre offer.
Netnod IX Stockholm is described as the largest internet exchange in the Nordics. Netnod IX Gothenburg is described as interconnecting southwest Sweden since 1998. Netnod IX Sundsvall–Gävle lets a network connect in either town and peer at both. Netnod IX Luleå is described as the place where the Nordic’s northern networks meet. Each page also sells Remote IX toward Stockholm or Copenhagen from as little as SEK 500 per month. Remote is backhaul to an exchange fabric. It is useful vocabulary. It is not two diverse building entries.
Named inland or non-metro campuses in this register still need their own fibre paper. atNorth describes SWE04 at Sollefteå / Hamre Långsele as a land development. EcoDataCenter’s Falun file is first a power and heat file. Meta’s Luleå campus sits in a town that also has a Netnod IX; that coincidence is not a published entry drawing. Microsoft named Gävle, Sandviken and Staffanstorp in 2021; Gävle sits on the Sundsvall–Gävle exchange story, which still does not publish the campus duct. Google’s Horndal materials are a construction-timeline source, not a carrier list. This page will not invent the missing ducts.
What named primary sources show
PTS’s mapping hub explains an annual October collection of fixed and mobile broadband infrastructure, with results published the following spring and shown in a statistics portal and on Bredbandskartan. The 2025 mapping report PTS-ER-2026:11 is dated 13 May 2026 and says the exercise describes how easy it is to get telephony and broadband where people live and work, and that the data support national, regional and municipal broadband-goal follow-up. The 18 August 2026 statistics page states that more than 98 percent of households and companies had access to a broadband connection of at least 1 Gbit/s in October 2025, either as connected or with a network in the immediate vicinity. Those sentences are access-market sentences. They are not a dark-fibre order for a hall.
Stokab’s home and role pages are the dated municipal-wholesale colour for Stockholm. They name data centres as a customer type and describe a highway to data centres as a marketing product sentence. They do not publish a national campus map, and this page will not treat “around Lake Mälaren” as a Sollefteå offer. Netnod’s four Swedish IX pages and the points-of-presence list are operator descriptions of exchange fabrics and of buildings where Netnod says it is present. They are not a census of every carrier in SE2, and they are not reproduced here as a cable map.
Equinix Stockholm pages, atNorth SWE01, Bahnhof Pionen and GleSYS Stockholm remain metro operator descriptions already used on the parent connectivity note. atNorth’s SWE04 land sentence, EcoDataCenter’s Falun megawatt rows and Microsoft’s 2021 municipalities remain other files. Power sources do not answer fibre diversity.
Objects that look like one fibre file
Keep access statistics, dark-fibre wholesale, exchange fabrics and building entries on four rows. A PTS percentage can be true and still leave a hall with one duct. A Stokab kilometre figure can be true and still stop at the Stockholm region. A Netnod 10 ms sentence can be true as vendor copy and still not be your measured path.
If a counterpart will not name the second entry owner, record the gap. Do not fill it from Bredbandskartan, from a Kista carrier logo, or from a hydropower sentence in Luleå.

Common misreads
The first misread is to treat the 98 percent PTS sentence as proof that an inland campus is fibre-ready. The second is to treat Stokab’s Stockholm figures as a national dark-fibre utility. The third is to treat a Netnod town name as an on-net hall. The fourth is to treat Remote IX as diverse building entries. The fifth is to copy Equinix SK1 carrier language onto SWE04. The sixth is to publish a sensitive route. This page will not.
What to ask next
Ask for a dated entry drawing and the owner of each duct. Ask which exchange is on-net versus reached by backhaul, and whether latency is measured on a named path. Ask which municipal or commercial fibre wholesaler actually serves this cadastral unit — not which one serves Stockholm. If the counterpart points at Bredbandskartan, thank them and keep asking for the hall paper.
Then open the parent connectivity note, site selection and the SWE04 or Falun project file if that is the hall under discussion. Do not fill a missing second entry from a Netnod PoP list.

What this does and does not prove
This page proves that inland Swedish halls need their own fibre file, that PTS access statistics are not campus dark fibre, that Stokab is a Stockholm wholesaler, and that Netnod publishes named regional exchanges plus a Remote IX product. It proves that this register will not publish sensitive routes.
It does not prove a carrier census for Falun, Sollefteå, Luleå, Horndal or Gävle. It does not prove a latency number for any hall. It does not treat a town that hosts an IX as a hall that has two ducts. Unknown entries stay unknown.
