A connection charge is not reserved power — Ei’s 25-ampere schablon is not a hall invoice
Is a Swedish hall already priced because someone pasted Ei’s connection-charge table, or because a dated network-company offer actually names that electrical installation? Energimarknadsinspektionen’s page on the cost of a connection charge, created 7 October 2020 and reviewed 3 December 2025, writes a schablon for what connections with a 16–25 ampere fuse and a bird’s-flight distance of up to 1,800 metres from the connection point in the existing network may cost. For 2026 it prints a base of 43,000 kronor excluding VAT for 0–200 metres, then metre add-ons in three later bands, and it says those figures apply to offers written from 1 January 2026. A worked example on the same page says a 700-metre connection may cost at most 285,900 kronor. Neighbours who also connect can bring the charge below the table. The page also names Ei PM 2013:03 version 12 as the 2026 method paper and says a customer who thinks the charge is too high may ask Ei to review it. Those are household-scale method sentences. They are not a datorhall tariff and not a reserved megawatt. Ei’s 11 August 2026 notice, used here, says new regulations and general advice on how connection charges for electrical installations shall be designed — EIFS 2026:10 — enter into force on 1 January 2027, together with new electricity-market legislation. The main principle is a shallow charge: the connecting customer mainly pays customer-specific costs up to the nearest feeding or receiving transformer station on the local network, or to the nearest relevant network part on a regional or transmission network. Costs for measures on the upstream network shall as a main rule not sit in the connection charge; they shall be financed collectively through transmission charges. A deeper charge shall be taken in named situations, including where the main principle would leave the company covering only a small share of the total connection cost, or where there are other special reasons — Ei’s examples are a remote installation that needs extensive network measures useful to only a few customers, and an connection that requires large reinforcements in an already capacity-constrained network. Installations with a meter fuse of at most 25 amperes shall still use schablons. The notice also records a terminology change from 1 January 2027: nätföretag becomes nätkoncessionshavare and transmissionsnät becomes överföringssystem. The connection-duty page already owns ellagen chapter 4’s duty and Ei’s two-year clocks. The queue-etiquette page already owns the 2025 investigation fee of 100,000 kronor plus 1,200 kronor per megawatt. This page only asks which published connection-charge object the hall file is sitting on. Microsoft’s 16 November 2021 note names Gävle, Sandviken and Staffanstorp. EcoDataCenter names Falun. Google names Horndal. atNorth’s 23 February 2026 SWE04 note names Sollefteå. evroc’s 3 February 2025 note names Arlandastad. None of those pages is a hall connection invoice or a reserved megawatt. This is orientation, not counsel.

Reading order
Seat the paper class before any kronor slogan. Write whether the object is Ei’s 16–25 ampere schablon, a named company’s written offer, a later EIFS 2026:10 design rule, or only a press comparison — before you say the hall is priced.
Then keep the 2026 table on its own row. The published bands, the 700-metre example and the neighbour-sharing sentence measure a small-fuse method. They do not measure a regional or transmission hall hook-up. Do not scale the table into a megawatt invoice.
Then keep 1 January 2027 on its own row. EIFS 2026:10 is a later design rule: shallow as the main principle, deeper only with named reasons, schablons still for at most 25 amperes. It is not yet a 2026 hall invoice and not a reserved feeder.
Then keep named project rows as geography. Microsoft, Falun, Horndal, SWE04 Sollefteå and evroc Arlandastad stay operator papers. This register does not publish a hall connection charge for those cadastral units.

What a schablon, a shallow charge and a deep charge actually measure
The 2026 schablon measures a highest reasonable charge for a named small-fuse band and a bird’s-flight distance. Ei’s page is explicit that the extra metre fee sits only on the metres above the lower bound of each band. A marketing sentence that “Sweden charges X kronor per megawatt” is not that showing.
The 11 August 2026 notice measures a later national design: shallow customer-specific costs as the main rule, collective financing of upstream measures, and a deeper charge only where the company would otherwise recover only a small share or where other special reasons apply. Those are design tests. They are not a hall quotation.
A review request to Ei measures a later dispute object. It is not a reservation and not a TSO förhandsbesked. The connection-duty page already owns the two-year window for asking Ei to review terms.
Operator notices measure existence and intention. A named campus town is a paper-class geography. It does not prove what anyone was invoiced.
What named primary sources show
Ei’s connection-charge page, reviewed 3 December 2025, remains the dated national commentary for the 16–25 ampere 2026 schablon, the 700-metre example and the neighbour-sharing sentence. Ei PM 2013:03 version 12 remains the method paper named on that page for 2026.
The 11 August 2026 notice and the EIFS 2026:10 publication page remain the dated 1 January 2027 design clock: shallow as the main principle, deeper only with named reasons, schablons still for at most 25 amperes, and the new statutory vocabulary. Named operator rows remain geography.
No cited source here publishes a project-specific hall connection invoice or a reserved hall megawatt created by scaling the 25-ampere table.
A matrix instead of one hall-price slogan
Draw one page with object rows and evidence columns. The 16–25 ampere schablon, a named written offer, EIFS 2026:10’s shallow rule, a deeper-charge reason, a duty finding and a named campus town are different columns. Empty cells stay empty.
Do not invent a hall kronor-per-megawatt from the household table. Those remain method facts from dated Ei pages.

Common misreads
The first misread is to treat Ei’s 16–25 ampere table as a hall tariff. The page names a household-scale fuse and a bird’s-flight band. The second is to collapse the connection charge into the connection duty. Duty asks whether the company must connect. Charge asks how a lawful connection is priced. The third is to treat the 2025 investigation fee as this charge. That fee sits on the etiquette page and is not set off against a later connection charge.
The fourth is to treat EIFS 2026:10 as already the 2026 invoice rule. The notice writes 1 January 2027. The fifth is to treat a deeper-charge example as a northern-Sweden hall surcharge. The sixth is to invent a kronor-per-megawatt from the table. The seventh is to treat a campus town as proof that a hall already holds a priced offer.
What to ask next
Ask which dated paper anyone is quoting — the 16–25 ampere schablon, a written offer, an EIFS 2026:10 design sentence or only a press comparison — and which electrical installation it names. Ask whether the offer is shallow or names a deeper-charge reason. Ask whether anyone has collapsed this charge into the duty or the investigation fee.
Then open the connection-duty page, the queue-etiquette page, the early-indication page and the grid-connection page. If the operator will not name the offer and the date, record the gap. Do not fill it from the household table. This page is not legal advice.

What this does and does not prove
This page proves that Ei already publishes a 16–25 ampere 2026 schablon and a later 1 January 2027 shallow-charge design in EIFS 2026:10 — and that those facts are not a reserved hall megawatt.
It does not prove that a named Swedish hall holds a priced offer. It does not invent a kronor-per-megawatt for Horndal or Arlandastad. It does not treat a campus press note as an invoice.
Empty cells stay empty. Until a later primary source names the installation, the offer and the dated paper, the connection-charge clock stays a method, not a census. DataCenterSweden records the method.
