Find a data center development site in Sweden

A good site search brings land, power, connectivity and delivery into the same conversation. Start with your requirements, explore the regional context and gather the evidence needed to move a location onto your shortlist.

General orientation. Assess the specific project separately. Applies to: Investors and operators searching for a location, and landowners considering a listing.

Current listing status

DataCenterSweden does not yet publish owner-authorised commercial site listings. We welcome submissions from owners, municipalities and authorised representatives for review. An enquiry does not reserve land or capacity.

The project tracker remains available for market research. Its records describe documented projects and their development stages; they do not indicate that a facility is for sale, seeking investment or offering spare capacity. External site-finder entries are maintained by their respective publishers.

What to request for every shortlisted site

Ask each representative for a comparable overview. Identify the source, date and responsible party for every important claim. Keep target dates separate from dates backed by an agreement or decision.

  1. Location and property boundary; owner, representative and basis for marketing the land.
  2. Proposed transaction: sale, lease, development partnership or another structure; confirm commercial availability directly.
  3. Power request and connection evidence, including the named network owner, dependencies and phased load.
  4. Planning documents, intended use, relevant decisions and unresolved conditions.
  5. Fibre routes, access roads, ground investigations, water strategy and potential heat counterparties.
  6. Development responsibilities, commercial assumptions, next review date and permission to share each document.

Make the next conversation specific

Tell the receiving team what you need to decide next: whether to visit a region, commission a feasibility study or investigate a particular property. A clear decision helps the team focus on the missing evidence and the people best placed to provide it.
