Västernorrland County

Is a 50-hectare development plot in Sollefteå a commissioned load in Västernorrland? It is not. The county includes Sollefteå municipality, where atNorth on 23 February 2026 confirmed plans to develop a 300 MW SWE04 campus at Hamre Industrial Park. That figure is announced or planned site power. It is not live IT load and is not taken from unofficial directories. The county also includes Sundsvall, where a detailed plan for about 42 hectares at Almåsen, aimed at power-intensive uses such as data centres, was handled by the urban planning committee on 21 October 2026; the municipality announced Verda Cloud Oy's AI centre outside central Sundsvall in February 2026, without a megawatt figure. The county sits in SE2. County-level spare capacity is not published here.

Keep Stockholm facts out of Långsele. SWE01’s 12 MW site-power sentence, SWE02’s fourth-quarter 2027 target, and Stockholm Exergi heat wording belong to Stockholm County. The 2 September 2026 acquisition notice names Swedish development at Sollefteå without restating a megawatt. Equinix as a new owner name does not turn Hamre into an operating IBX. A hectare is still land. A FAQ “under development” sentence is still not a startbesked.

Ask Sollefteå for the detaljplan that actually covers Hamre Industrial Park, and ask the network owner which paper exists. If both answers are silent, the development file is a site-control and marketing file. That is still a real public hook. It is not a commissioned northern cluster and it is not a Norrbotten campus.

Sundsvall is the second file. The detailed plan for Vattjom 2:42 and Söderåsen 2:6 at Almåsen covers about 42 hectares next to SCA's Töva timber terminal and names data centres as an example of power-intensive use. On 21 October 2026 the urban planning committee handled it ahead of adoption, and, according to its approved minutes, proposed that the council adopt it; the council is expected to decide on 30 November 2026. The plan documents do not name an operator; the municipality announced Verda Cloud Oy's AI centre outside central Sundsvall in February 2026. No megawatt figure has been published, and the municipal executive office notes that cooling-water needs are not investigated.

This county brief proves that Västernorrland, in this register, holds two development files in SE2: an announced 300 MW plan at Hamre in Sollefteå and a detailed plan in progress at Almåsen in Sundsvall without a published megawatt. It does not prove live IT load and does not prove energization.
