Planning and grid

EcoDataCenter’s release of 24 September 2025 says construction of the Kvarnsveden mega campus has started, with the first data center scheduled for completion in early 2027. The 2026 Mistral notice schedules an opening in 2027. The environmental permit file is not reviewed here.

  EcoDataCenter and Mistral AI announce a Borlänge partnership

  EcoDataCenter said it would design, build and operate an AI-focused data center at its existing Borlänge site, with Mistral deploying compute and a scheduled 2027 opening. The notice states a €1.2 billion long-term commitment. It is not stored as a second campus and does not publish a megawatt.
