atNorth’s 2 September 2026 notice names four Nordic mega sites; a name is not a live megawatt

The same 2 September 2026 ownership notice that closed the CPP Investments and Equinix acquisition also lists four mega sites under development — Kouvola, Ølgod, Sollefteå and Haugaland — plus a Stockholm metro site. That is a naming pass. It does not publish a megawatt figure per plot, and it does not merge Sollefteå with Vertical Data’s later purchase agreement.

atNorth’s 2 September 2026 acquisition notice is the dated platform source used here. After stating that CPP Investments and Equinix completed the purchase, the company describes eight operational Nordic halls and four mega sites under development across Kouvola in Finland, Ølgod in Denmark, Sollefteå in Sweden and Haugaland in Norway, plus an additional metro site under development in Stockholm. Those place-names are the company’s own development list. They are not a live-load table and not a Svenska kraftnät reservation.

The ownership sentence is already stored on its own row. This note unpacks only the named development list. The US$4 billion figure in the same notice is an acquisition price. It is not campus capex for Sollefteå, not a Finnish construction budget and not a reason to add four plots into one Nordic sum.

Sollefteå on that list is atNorth’s named Swedish mega site — the same geography this register already stores as SWE04 / Hamre. The 2 September notice does not restate the February 2026 300 MW campus announcement or the May 2026 municipal report of a 200 MW E.ON agreement. Those papers stay on their own rows. Vertical Data’s 11 September purchase agreement in the same municipality is a different issuer describing a different existing industrial site. Sharing a town name does not make the files one project.

Kouvola, Ølgod and Haugaland sit outside Sweden. This site does not open a project row for a neighbouring-country plot on the back of a platform list. The notice publishes no megawatt, permit or energization sentence for those three names. A later contractor or campus page that states a Finnish, Danish or Norwegian figure belongs on that later page. It cannot be back-filled into the 2 September list.

The Stockholm metro site is a fifth named location, already tracked in this register as SWE02 in Akalla. Campus-under-development language without a restated IT load is still campus language. DataCenterSweden records the four-plus-one list as a naming pass attached to SWE04 and SWE02. No neighbour-country project identifier is created. The next update would be a later primary source that documents a milestone, a capacity definition or a grid paper for a named plot — not another platform sentence.

Why it matters

A platform list of four named mega sites is the easiest place to invent a Nordic megawatt total. It is usable only if Kouvola, Ølgod, Sollefteå and Haugaland stay unadded, and if SWE04’s 300/200 MW papers stay on their own row.

What remains unknown

The 2 September notice does not publish a megawatt, permit or energization sentence for Kouvola, Ølgod or Haugaland, and it does not restate SWE04’s 300 MW or 200 MW papers.
