Sollefteå reports an E.ON 200 MW connection agreement for atNorth in Långsele

On 28 May 2026 Sollefteå Municipality said E.ON Energidistribution and atNorth had signed a 200 MW electricity-connection agreement for the planned AI facility in Långsele. The municipal notice is a reported distribution-network event. It is not a Svenska kraftnät reservation, not the operator’s 300 MW campus announcement, and not evidence that a hall is energised.

Sollefteå’s 28 May 2026 municipal notice is the dated source used here. It says E.ON Energidistribution and atNorth signed an agreement for a 200 MW electricity connection to the planned AI facility in Långsele. It calls the connection one of the largest consumption connections in E.ON’s history. Those sentences record what the municipality published. They are not a copy of an E.ON contract and not a Svenska kraftnät preliminary notice.

The same notice describes planned network works: a new distribution station in Hamre and an approximately five-kilometre 130 kV line to the transmission-network station in Nässe. It says those investments are intended to enable future operation of the facility, which according to plan is to enter service in autumn 2028. A planned line and a planned in-service season are not a completed station and not a commissioning certificate.

The 200 MW figure must stay attached to its claim type. In the municipal wording it is the size of a signed distribution-network connection agreement. It is not defined as IT load, facility load or occupied load. It is also not the 300 MW campus figure in atNorth’s 23 February 2026 development notice. The two numbers can sit in one project file because they describe different instruments. They cannot be added, subtracted or treated as a correction of each other without a source that compares them.

The February municipal agreement notice and the February operator notice remain separate rows. On 5 February 2026 the municipality said the parties intended to sign a development agreement for a high-density hall on the already-planned Hamre 1 land. On 23 February atNorth confirmed plans for a 300 MW data center on a 50-hectare Hamre 1 plot with a first-half 2028 operational target. The May grid notice does not restate those land and campus sentences as completed construction.

For a buyer the next documents are the actual E.ON agreement or a later E.ON primary statement, the written position of any upstream network owner including Svenska kraftnät, the current detailed-development-plan status, and a later source if construction or energization is claimed. A municipal summary is a lead for that work. It is not a substitute for the papers.

Do not use the 200 MW sentence to update unrelated Swedish records. It does not restate EcoDataCenter Falun, Google Horndal or Conapto Stockholm. It also does not convert Svenska kraftnät’s national data-center queue total into a Sollefteå allocation. County and national queue tables, where they exist, stay on their own pages.

DataCenterSweden records the 28 May 2026 notice as a municipally reported connection-agreement event linked to SWE04. The project remains a development-stage file until a later primary source documents construction or operation. The 200 MW and 300 MW wordings remain non-additive observations with different publishers and dates.

Why it matters

A municipal report of a 200 MW distribution agreement can be material without closing the SWE04 grid cell at transmission level or converting 300 MW of announced campus power into live IT load.

What remains unknown

This file does not contain the E.ON contract, a Svenska kraftnät reservation or allocation, a construction-start certificate or an operating result. The relationship between 200 MW and 300 MW is not defined in the cited notices.
