Mistral AI
European AI company named by EcoDataCenter as the compute partner for the existing Borlänge development.
On 11 February 2026 EcoDataCenter said Mistral AI would deploy large-scale AI compute at EcoDataCenter’s Borlänge site, described as Mistral’s first AI infrastructure investment outside France, with a scheduled opening in 2027. The same notice states a €1.2 billion long-term commitment in Sweden’s digital infrastructure through the partnership. Roles and investment split beyond that wording are not specified. The partnership is stored on the existing Borlänge project, not as a second campus.
