Kalmar County enters the register with one proposed project: a data centre in the Nyhagen industrial area in Hultsfred. On 1 September 2026 Hultsfred's municipal executive committee approved a letter of intent with Magnora Project Infra 2 AB on investigating it. No land sale has been decided and no power capacity is given.

The documented decision is item 108 of Hultsfred's executive committee minutes of 1 September 2026, case 2026/208. The minutes say data-centre requests to the municipality have risen sharply over the past 12 to 18 months, with at most five at the same time.

The municipality will not consider a land sale that uses grid capacity until the effects on existing businesses, the project's feasibility and the local benefit are verified. Grid capacity, investment and timetable are not public.
