Gotland County
Gotland County enters the register with one proposed project: a data centre on industrial land in Visby. On 21 April 2026 Region Gotland's executive board allocated the property Visby Navaren 2 directly to SunSpark Nordic AB, which wants to co-locate data centres with solar parks. A land allocation agreement is still to be decided. No power capacity is given.
The documented decision is item 155 of Region Gotland's executive board minutes of 21 April 2026, case RS 2026/259. The company had asked for five properties; the board allocated one, Navaren 2.
According to the minutes, the company plans nine solar-park projects on about 450 hectares of forest land on Gotland, five of which could be co-located with data centres. Each data centre is said to create about 20 to 35 jobs.
