Glossary
The same definition is used across the pages.
- IT power
Electrical power used by IT equipment, not the whole site.
- Site power
Operator wording for power available to a campus or hall. It is not automatically a grid agreement.
- PUE
Power Usage Effectiveness: facility energy divided by IT energy, for a stated period and boundary.
- Electricity bidding area
One of Sweden’s four wholesale bidding areas (SE1–SE4). It is not a property-level connection answer.
- Detailed development plan (detaljplan)
Municipal binding plan that regulates land use and building rights for an area.
- Building permit (bygglov)
Municipal permit to build or change a building. It does not replace grid or environmental decisions.
- Grid connection
The process and documents that allow a site to import (or export) power from a named network owner.
- Colocation
A hall where several customers place equipment. It is a business model, not a voltage class.
- Heat reuse
Use of residual heat outside the hall. Prepared piping, a letter of intent, a contract and delivered megawatt-hours are four different states.
- Foreign direct investment screening
Swedish screening of certain investments. It is not a nationality slogan and not a building permit.
