Electricity bidding area

One of Sweden’s four wholesale bidding areas (SE1–SE4). It is not a property-level connection answer.

Energimarknadsinspektionen describes SE1 Luleå, SE2 Sundsvall, SE3 Stockholm and SE4 Malmö. The split exists to make transmission constraints visible. A project in SE1 can still face a local shortage.

Common confusions

• Using a cheap SE1 price as proof that a Boden or Luleå plot can connect.
