IT power

Electrical power used by IT equipment, not the whole site.

IT power is the load at the IT equipment. Facility power includes cooling, transformers and other building systems. Operator pages that only say “MW” without this split are stored as an unclear capacity disclosure.

A campus announcement and an operating hall can use the same unit and still not be additive.

Common confusions

• Treating every MW figure as IT power.
• Adding campus design MW to commissioned MW.
