Magnora Data Center ASA said in its third-quarter report, published on 30 October 2026, that it has established two more projects in southern Sweden with a combined planned capacity of 80 MW. The report does not name the municipalities or the properties.

The statement is in the quarterly report of Magnora Data Center ASA, dated Oslo 29 October and published via NTB at 07:00 on 30 October 2026. According to the report, the group has established two more Swedish projects in addition to the previously reported project in area SE4. Both are in southern Sweden, and their planned capacity adds up to 80 MW in total.

The report defines a project as a site where the company has secured property for a data centre after evaluating the grid, the site, environmental and other aspects, and is then developing it with regard to grid access, building permit and other critical items. It also says that all greenfield projects remain pending permitting and grid access.

The presentation that accompanies the report puts the Swedish part of the portfolio at 110 MW net, adjusted for owner share, as of 30 September 2026: 50 MW in early stage and 60 MW in mature stage. The presentation defines mature stage as projects consented and/or de-risked to a level that enables sales.

The first Swedish project, in SE4, has a planned capacity of 60 MW, according to the company's website. In its half-year report in August the company said that project was to be marketed to a select set of investors and included a potential self-built grid connection to speed up the connection process. The third-quarter report names the SE4 project among those drawing the most interest from investors and potential partners. The Swedish business is run through Magnora Data Center AB, in which Magnora Data Center ASA holds 67 percent.

Two Swedish projects in the register appear in municipal papers with Magnora: Nyhagen in Hultsfred, where the municipal executive committee approved a letter of intent with Magnora Project Infra 2 AB on 1 September 2026, and Limmared in Tranemo, where the executive committee referred a land-sale case back for further preparation on 15 October 2026. The report does not say whether either of them is one of the two new projects or the SE4 project. DataCenterSweden therefore does not change those register entries and adds no new entry.

Why it matters

It is the company's first statement that it has more than one Swedish project and of their combined capacity. With the 60 MW SE4 project, Magnora Data Center now gives planned capacity for three projects in southern Sweden, while municipal papers so far show two places where the company appears in land cases.

What remains unknown

The municipalities and properties of the three Swedish projects, the split of the 80 MW between the two new ones, which grid companies they would connect to, their timetables, and whether Hultsfred or Tranemo is among them are not in the report.
