Vattenfall’s Verkanliden–Grundfors page is a 2026 change application, not reserved Storuman hall power

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Verkanliden page says a 170 kV construction-voltage wind tie to Grundfors already has a 2024 concession, and that a change application was filed in February 2026. A change filing is not reserved hall offtake.

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Verkanliden–Grundfors page is the dated change-application source used here. It says the company plans to build a new 170 kV line, as construction voltage, between the permitted Inre and Yttre Verkanliden wind parks and the existing Grundfors station in Storuman Municipality, Västerbotten County. The purpose is written as transferring the electricity the wind parks will produce. A wind-tie purpose is not reserved hall offtake.

The concession sentence must stay a concession sentence. The company applied to the Energy Markets Inspectorate for a line concession. During 2024 the concession was granted for the new line (diary number 2021-101799). That is a 2024 wind-tie concession. It is not a 2026 hall permit.

The change sentence must stay a change sentence. During 2025 a consultation was held so a smaller adjustment of the permitted route could be made, and a change application was filed with the inspectorate in February 2026. The inspectorate is written as currently handling that change (diary number 2026-100584). The company is working on detailed design and waiting for a decision on the change. A pending change is not a commissioned line.

Related grid notes stay on their own pages. Other Västerbotten wind-tie rows and inland transmission papers are different dates and different legal rows. This article does not import a Storuman hall tenant or a reserved consumption agreement into a February 2026 change filing.

DataCenterSweden records February 2026 as Vattenfall Eldistribution’s change application on the Verkanliden–Grundfors wind tie. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names a decided 2026-100584 change, a commissioned line, or a reserved consumption agreement beside Grundfors. Until then, the February filing stays a route-change application — not reserved Storuman hall capacity.

Why it matters

A granted 170 kV Västerbotten headline is easy to file as spare inland hall power. The page is usable only if the wind-tie change stays a wind-tie change — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The page does not decide case 2026-100584, commission the line or name a reserved hall offtake beside Grundfors.
