Vattenfall’s Sigtuna–Bålsta page is a concession in legal force, not reserved Mälardalen hall power

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Sigtuna–Bålsta page says the 130 kV line that will replace the existing 70 kV line received a concession that gained legal force in May 2025. Legal force is not reserved hall offtake.

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Sigtuna–Bålsta page is the dated legal-force source used here. It says the company plans to build a new 130 kV line between the transformer stations in Sigtuna and Bålsta, Stockholm County. The new 130 kV line is to replace the existing 70 kV line, which will be demolished after the new line is put in service. A replacement sentence is not reserved offtake.

The force sentence must stay a force sentence. The company has applied for and received a line concession. The Energy Markets Inspectorate decides line concessions. The concession gained legal force in May 2025. Legal force is a permission row. It is not a commissioned circuit and not a named hall tenant.

The timetable sentence must stay a timetable sentence. Work on easement agreements and detailed design along the route began in spring 2024. Procurement for the line is planned during 2027. The line is estimated to be ready in 2029. A 2027 procurement and a 2029 ready-estimate are not a live Mälardalen hall.

Related grid notes stay on their own pages. Svenska kraftnät’s Odensala–Kappetorp rebuild notes in Sigtuna, the Husbyborg–Vänge complementary consultation and other county rows are different dates and different voltages. This article does not import a 400 kV western-Stockholm rebuild or an Uppsala 52 kV window into a May 2025 legal-force day.

DataCenterSweden records May 2025 as Vattenfall Eldistribution’s legal-force month for the Sigtuna–Bålsta 130 kV concession. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names the 2027 procurement as placed, a commissioned 2029 line, or a reserved consumption agreement beside the route. Until then, May 2025 stays legal force — not reserved Mälardalen hall capacity.

Why it matters

A 130 kV legal-force headline between Sigtuna and Bålsta is easy to file as spare county hall power. The page is usable only if legal force stays legal force — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The page does not place the 2027 procurement, commission the 2029 line or name a reserved hall offtake beside the route.
