Vattenfall’s Överby–Kungsängen page is an open 2026 scoping consult, not reserved Upplands-Bro hall power

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Överby–Kungsängen page opens a scoping consult, with comments due 18 October 2026, for a new 130 kV overhead line that would replace a 70 kV stretch. An open consult is not reserved offtake.

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Överby–Kungsängen project page is the dated consult source used here. It writes that the company intends to resume a line-concession application for a new 130 kV line between the Överby and Kungsängen stations, in Sollentuna, Upplands Väsby, Järfälla and Upplands-Bro. The work is written as building a new 130 kV overhead line and, once that line is in service, taking down the matching stretch of the existing 70 kV line. A resumed 130 kV application is not reserved hall offtake.

The consult sentence must stay a consult sentence. The page writes an open scoping consult under chapter 6 of the Environmental Code, as a written consult combined with open-house meetings on 28 September in Kungsängen and 29 September in Kallhäll. Written comments are due by 18 October 2026. Sweco is written as handling the permit and consult questions on Vattenfall’s behalf. An open-house week is not a construction start.

The corridor sentence must stay a corridor sentence. A previous consult in 2022–2023 and an application sent in 2025 are written as withdrawn. Svenska kraftnät’s change of technique to overhead line, and a Fortifikationsverket land purchase, are written as making the earlier alignments no longer possible. The continued work is written as mainly the former B-alternative, with two investigation corridors, planned in a shared corridor with Svenska kraftnät’s planned 400 kV line from Överby to a point just north of Kungsängen station. Those are alignment facts. The page does not give a megawatt or a hall.

What remains unknown

The page does not close the 18 October 2026 consult, file a new concession or give a reserved hall megawatt beside Överby–Kungsängen.
