Vattenfall’s 31 October Måby–Hagby note is a new-concession consult, not reserved north-Stockholm hall power

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Måby–Hagby page invited comments by 31 October 2025 on one new 130 kV line concession for a Svenska kraftnät 220 kV takeover. A consult deadline is not reserved offtake.

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Måby–Hagby page is the dated consult source used here. It writes that Vattenfall intends to apply for a line concession for a 130 kV line between Måby and Hagby in Sigtuna, Vallentuna, Upplands Väsby and Täby municipalities, Stockholm County. Today’s 220 kV line on the stretch is owned by Svenska kraftnät. Vattenfall plans to take it over into the regional network, drop the voltage and rebuild some stretches. A takeover-and-rebuild consult is not reserved hall offtake.

The form sentence must stay a form sentence. The original plan was two amendment filings, one for Måby–Skoby and one for Skoby–Hagby, with consults already held in 2024 and 2025. The transfer timetable made an amendment filing formally difficult, so Vattenfall decided to apply for one new line concession covering the whole Måby–Hagby stretch. The measures described in the earlier consults are written as unchanged. A change of application form is not a new reserved megawatt.

The deadline sentence must stay a deadline sentence. Comments were requested by 31 October 2025, to inform the coming environmental-impact statement. The background paragraph writes strained capacity in the Stockholm region and Svenska kraftnät’s aim to tidy the transmission network toward 400 kV by reducing 220 kV plants, while Vattenfall converts the regional network from 70 kV to 130 kV. Those are regional-network facts. They are not a hall agreement.

Why it matters

A 220-to-130 kV takeover on the north-Stockholm rim is easy to file as spare hall power. The 31 October deadline is usable only if the new-concession consult stays a consult — not a reservation.

The page does not print the new-concession filing as sent, an Inspectorate decision or a reserved hall offtake beside Måby–Hagby.
