Vattenfall’s 21 April Litslena–Bålsta page is a filing awaiting remittal, not reserved Mälaren hall power

On 21 April 2026 Vattenfall Eldistribution said the Litslena–Bålsta concession application, sent in late December 2025 and merged with Ryssviken, was being handled by the Energy Markets Inspectorate. A filing awaiting remittal is not reserved offtake.

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s 21 April 2026 Litslena–Bålsta update is the dated filing source used here. It says the concession application was sent to the Energy Markets Inspectorate in late December 2025 and is now being handled by the inspectorate. When the inspectorate considers the application complete it will remit the application. A filing awaiting remittal is not a granted concession.

The voltage sentence must stay a voltage sentence. The page writes a new 130 kV line between the existing transformer stations at Litslena and Bålsta, replacing the existing 70 kV line, in Enköping and Håbo municipalities in Uppsala County and Upplands-Bro Municipality in Stockholm County. The voltage rise of the regional grid from 70 kV to 130 kV is written as meeting capacity and security needs as the Stockholm region grows. Those are replacement-and-voltage facts. They are not a reserved hall megawatt.

The merger sentence must stay a merger sentence. In the concession application to the inspectorate two projects were combined into one application: Litslena–Bålsta and Ryssviken. Corridor B and A2 from the consultation paper are written as the chosen strands. Complementary consultation around Sävsta kärr and Segersta closed on 2 April 2025. A merged filing is not a live Mälaren hall.

Why it matters

A 130 kV replacement toward Bålsta is easy to file as spare Mälaren hall power. The April page is usable only if the filing stays a filing — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The page does not remit the application, grant the concession or name a reserved hall offtake beside Litslena–Bålsta.
