Vattenfall’s Husbyborg–Vänge page is a complementary consultation, not reserved Uppsala hall power

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Husbyborg–Vänge page invited comments through 15 February 2026 on a complementary stretch for a new 52 kV line in Uppsala Municipality. A complementary consultation is not reserved offtake.

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Husbyborg–Vänge consultation page is the dated complementary source used here. It says the company intends to apply for a line concession for a new 52 kV line between the Husbyborg and Vänge stations in Uppsala Municipality. Written comments on the complementary consultation were requested by Sunday 15 February 2026. A complementary consultation is not a granted concession.

The voltage sentence must stay a voltage sentence. Parts of the regional 22 kV overhead lines between Husbyborg in Uppsala Municipality and Litslena in Enköping Municipality are written as needing renewal, with later development also showing a need for capacity-raising measures. The new 52 kV overhead line will initially be operated at 22 kV until all stretches between Husbyborg and Litslena have been rebuilt. When the whole stretch has been renewed, a rise to 40 kV operation can take place. An interim 22 kV operation is not a live Uppsala hall.

The plan sentence must stay a plan sentence. A first consultation ran in January–March 2025. After that, Vattenfall chose to continue with a route inside investigation corridor A. Uppsala Municipality has an ongoing detailed plan in the area, and a route through the plan area was discarded. The complementary consultation covers the new eastern route and investigation area through arable land. A discarded plan-area route is not a hall siting.

Why it matters

A new Uppsala 52 kV headline next to later NordSyd papers is easy to file as spare hall power. The complementary page is usable only if the consultation stays a consultation — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The page does not file the concession, rebuild Husbyborg–Litslena or name a reserved hall offtake beside the complementary stretch.
