Vattenfall’s August Hjortsberga note is a cancelled industrial offtake, not reserved Eskilstuna hall power

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Hjortsberga page writes in August 2026 that the customer chose to cancel the project, so work ends. A cancelled 130 kV offtake is not reserved hall power.

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Hjortsberga page is the dated cancellation source used here. The August 2026 update says the customer has chosen to cancel the project, which means the work ends and no further activities will be carried out within the project. A cancellation notice is not reserved offtake.

The purpose sentence must stay a purpose sentence. The page writes two new 130 kV lines between switching station BT593 Hjortsberga and Rockwool’s connection in Eskilstuna Municipality, Södermanland County. The stone-wool producer is written as establishing a new facility outside Eskilstuna. The stretch between the switching station and Rockwool’s forthcoming facility is written as about 300 metres as the crow flies, to Rockwool’s property Eskilstuna Aspestahult 1:8. Those are industrial-offtake facts. They are not a reserved hall megawatt.

The process sentence must stay a process sentence. Consultation closed in January 2025. The concession application was sent to the Energy Markets Inspectorate in October 2025. In May 2026 the concession gained legal force, and the next step was written as detailed design. The August 2026 line then writes that the customer cancelled. Legal force followed by a customer cancellation is not a live Eskilstuna hall.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a restarted offtake, a different customer on the same stretch, or a reserved consumption agreement beside the 300 metres. Until then, the August line stays a cancelled industrial offtake — not reserved Eskilstuna hall capacity.

Why it matters

A 130 kV concession that later shows a customer cancellation is easy to file as spare Eskilstuna hall power. The August line is usable only if the cancellation stays a cancellation — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The page does not restart the offtake, name a replacement customer or give a reserved hall megawatt beside Hjortsberga.
