Vattenfall’s 1 June Hedenlunda–Oxelösund note is withdrawn steel-mill appeals, not reserved SE3 hall power

On 1 June 2026 Vattenfall Eldistribution said all appeals had been withdrawn and the court had dismissed the case, so work on the two 130 kV lines to SSAB Oxelösund can finish. A steel-mill connection works note is not reserved hall offtake.

It says all appeals have been withdrawn and the court has dismissed the case, and that Vattenfall Eldistribution will now continue the work of finishing the line. A dismissed-appeal note is not reserved hall offtake.

The purpose sentence must stay a purpose sentence. The page writes two new 130 kV lines between the Hedenlunda transformer station and the transformer station at SSAB’s steelworks in Oxelösund, so that an electric-arc furnace can be connected when the old blast furnace is replaced. The concession application was filed on 7 October 2020. The Energy Markets Inspectorate approved it on 12 October 2022. The concession gained legal force on 29 January 2024. Those are steel-mill connection facts. They are not a reserved hall megawatt.

The delay sentence must stay a delay sentence. The 19 May 2026 delay note writes that about 80 percent of the line project is finished, and that a species-protection exemption appeal had stopped completion on the stretches where the exemption applies. The 1 June line then writes that the appeals were withdrawn. Eighty percent built, then appeals withdrawn, is not a live SE3 hall.

The next update would need a later primary source that names the two 130 kV lines in service, or a reserved consumption agreement that is not the steelworks offtake. Until then, the June note stays a steel-mill connection works paper — not reserved SE3 hall capacity.

Why it matters

A finished-appeals headline on a 130 kV pair into Oxelösund is easy to file as spare SE3 hall power. The June note is usable only if the steel-mill offtake stays a steel-mill offtake — not a hall reservation.

What remains unknown

The note does not put the two 130 kV lines in service or name a reserved hall offtake beside Hedenlunda–Oxelösund.
