Vattenfall’s late-April Ed–Östhammar–Harg note is a 70-to-130 kV route choice, not reserved Östhammar hall power

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Ed–Östhammar–Harg page writes a February 2026 consult, comments through the end of April 2026, and a later choice to keep most of the new 130 kV lines parallel to the existing 70 kV. A route choice is not reserved offtake.

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s Ed–Östhammar–Harg page is the dated route-choice source used here. It writes a voltage raise of the existing 70 kV line between the Östhammar transformer station and joint Harg, by building two new 130 kV lines that replace the existing line, in Östhammar Municipality, Uppsala County. The existing overhead stretch is written as about ten kilometres. A 70-to-130 kV rebuild is not reserved hall offtake.

The consult sentence must stay a consult sentence. During February 2026 Vattenfall Eldistribution held a consult with authorities, organisations, landowners, the public and others who could be affected. The last day for comments is written as the end of April 2026. An open house during the consult is written as having been held at Börstil community hall. A closed comment window is not a concession in legal force.

The route sentence must stay a route sentence. After the consult Vattenfall Eldistribution writes that running parallel to the existing overhead line gives the least impact when all aspects are weighed together. Only at the northern end by Östhammar station are the new lines written as leaving the parallel, to the west of properties Ed 13:5 and Ed 13:7, because a parallel line would otherwise come too close to dwellings. A separate short stretch of about 150 metres of existing 70 kV cable between joint Ed and Östhammar station is written as being replaced by 130 kV overhead. Those are alignment facts. They are not a hall agreement.

Why it matters

A 70-to-130 kV headline on the Uppsala coast is easy to file as spare hall power. The late-April note is usable only if the route choice stays a route choice — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The page does not print a concession filing, an Inspectorate decision or a reserved hall offtake beside Östhammar–Harg.
