Vattenfall’s Stenungsund filings are four 130 kV concessions, not reserved west-coast hall power

Vattenfall Eldistribution’s 1 September 2026 Stenungsund update is the dated filing source used here. It says all concessions have been submitted to the Energy Markets Inspectorate: permits are sought for the proposed blue, red, green and purple alignments. While the inspectorate processes the cases, detailed design continues, a preliminary pole placement has been made and pole structures are being drawn. Field work with surveying, ground investigations, forest stamping and valuation is expected to start in the autumn or winter. A filed pack is not reserved offtake.

The rebuild sentence must stay a rebuild sentence. Vattenfall plans new 130 kV lines between a new Cederslund station, the existing Stenungsund station and Perstorp. Svenska kraftnät’s planned 400 kV Skogssäter–Ingelkärr line via Stenungsund is the neighbour that partly takes over Vattenfall’s existing corridor. Vattenfall is building Cederslund and rebuilding Stenungsund. Between Cederslund and Stenungsund two existing lines are to be uprated, mostly in the present corridor. Between Stenungsund and Perstorp the existing line is to be replaced and an entirely new stretch added. Those are regional-network facts. They are not a hall agreement.

The purpose sentence must stay a purpose sentence. The page writes the work as a reinforcement to raise capacity for industry’s and the transport sector’s growing need in Västra Götaland. A 10 March 2026 note on the same page says consultation is complete and that the County Administrative Board did not judge the lines to entail significant environmental impact, so a short environmental-impact statement is prepared. Those are process facts. They are not reserved megawatts.

Why it matters

A Stenungsund 130 kV headline next to Svenska kraftnät’s west-coast 400 kV row is easy to file as spare hall power. The September note is usable only if the four filings stay filings — not a reservation.

The note does not grant the concessions, start construction or name a reserved consumption agreement beside Cederslund–Perstorp.
