Svenska kraftnät’s 11 September Tuna note is an Uppsala-station in-service day, not reserved hall megawatts

Svenska kraftnät’s Station Tuna page writes that the renewed station in Uppsala County entered service on 11 September 2025 and enables about 320 megawatts of extra offtake. An enablement figure is not reserved hall power.

Svenska kraftnät’s Station Tuna project page is the dated in-service source used here. The 11 September 2025 update writes that renewal of station Tuna in Uppsala County is finished and the station is in service, after approved checks and tests of the rebuild. This Tuna is Svenska kraftnät’s transmission station in Uppsala County. It is not Sandviken’s Tuna zoning row and not the Tuna–Stackbo stretch on the Gävle–Sandviken commissioning note.

The 320-megawatt sentence must stay an enablement sentence. The hub writes that rebuilding the station enables an increased offtake to Stockholm and Uppsala of about 320 megawatts, by connecting a 400 kV line that today runs between the Forsmark nuclear plant and Odensala in Sigtuna Municipality. About 320 megawatts of enabled offtake is not a reserved data-centre megawatt and not a named customer.

The package sentence must stay a package sentence. The hub writes that the renewal strengthens the transmission network in bidding areas 2 and 3, mainly the Stockholm–Uppsala region, reduces the risk of outages, and enables further reinforcements in Storstockholm Väst and the NordSyd investment package. NordSyd figures printed on the same page stay package figures. They are not reserved Uppsala hall power.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a reserved consumption agreement beside the 320-megawatt enablement, or a later station paper that splits that figure by customer. Until then, the September in-service day stays an enablement paper — not reserved hall capacity.

Why it matters

A 320-megawatt Stockholm–Uppsala headline on an in-service day is easy to file as reserved hall power. The September note is usable only if the enablement stays an enablement — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The page does not split the 320 megawatts by customer, name a reserved hall offtake or treat this Tuna as the Sandviken Tuna row.
