Svenska kraftnät’s Horndal station line works are connecting-bay construction, not reserved Dalälven hall power

Svenska kraftnät’s 28 May 2026 Horndal-station note says field works now start on the lines that will connect to the renewed 220 kV station in Avesta Municipality. Excavation and construction roads are not reserved offtake.

Svenska kraftnät’s 28 May 2026 line-works note is the dated Horndal-station source used here. It says renewal of the transmission station continues as planned and that construction of the lines that will connect to the new station now starts. Field works in the near term are excavation for foundations and construction roads. Those works are a prerequisite for raising poles and building the new lines. Connecting-bay construction is not a reserved offtake.

The timetable sentence must stay a timetable sentence. Pole assembly on the ground continues in the autumn and winter. Raising of the poles, together with stringing, is planned to start in March 2027. The Horndal-station hub writes a 220 kV station renewal in Avesta Municipality, construction start in 2025, commissioning in 2027 and project close-out in 2028. Those are programme dates. They are not reserved megawatts.

The contractor sentence must stay a contractor sentence. Station works are written as Linjemontage and the line works as Craftor, both on assignment from Svenska kraftnät. Named contractors are not a hall agreement.

A Horndal construction headline is easy to file as spare mid-Sweden hall power. The May note is usable only if the connecting-line works stay connecting-line works — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The note does not commission the new station, reserve a consumption agreement or name a hall offtake beside Horndal.
