Svenska kraftnät’s Skåne syd decision is a package orientation, not reserved SE4 hall power

The board’s orientation decision is dated 11 February. A package orientation is not a reserved offtake.

The stretch sentence must stay a stretch sentence. The package covers 162 km of new 400 kV lines in three projects from Malmö around southern and eastern Skåne up to Hörby: Arrie–Skåne sydost (planned in service 2036), Skåne nordost–Skåne sydost (2037) and Sege–Arrie (2038). Two new 400 kV stations, Skåne sydost and Skåne nordost, are included, plus expansions at the existing Arrie and Sege stations. The printed investment cost is SEK 7,400 million. Those are package facts. They are not a hall agreement.

The thousand-megawatt sentence must stay a three-package sentence. The press note and the Skåne syd hub both write that, fully built, the three-package strategy increases secure capacity to the region by more than 1,000 MW, equal to twice Greater Malmö’s consumption. That figure is not a Skåne syd-only reservation and not a reserved SE4 hall offtake. Separate orientation decisions remain for Skåne väst and Skåne öst.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a chosen alignment, a filed concession on one of the three stretches or a reserved consumption agreement in SE4. Until then, 7,400 million kronor and the 2036–2038 dates stay package sentences — not reserved Skåne hall capacity.

Why it matters

A Skåne package headline that prints more than 1,000 MW is easy to file as spare SE4 hall power. The February note is usable only if the thousand-megawatt sentence stays a three-package sentence — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The press note does not choose alignments, file a concession on Arrie–Skåne sydost or name a reserved SE4 hall offtake.
