Svenska kraftnät county table: Norrbotten’s 11,400 MW of consumption is not a data-center total

Svenska kraftnät’s county page, reviewed on 2 September 2026, splits requested transmission-network capacity before reservation. Figures are rounded to the nearest 50. Norrbotten appears as 11,400 MW of consumption and 4,300 MW of production. Those columns are not labelled data center. They are not Luleå, Boden or a named hall.
The county page is the dated artefact used here. It says the table shows total requested capacity per county in Svenska kraftnät’s connection queue until capacity has been reserved and a preliminary notice sent. The figures are rounded to the nearest 50. The page was reviewed on 2 September 2026. That review date is the same calendar day as the bidding-area page already stored in this register. It is not rewritten here as a 1 September national type snapshot.
Consumption cells that a brochure will try to relocate include Norrbotten 11,400 MW, Gävleborg 2,450 MW, Uppsala 2,200 MW, Västerbotten 1,750 MW, Dalarna 1,650 MW, Värmland 1,500 MW, Västernorrland 1,350 MW, Västra Götaland 1,050 MW, Södermanland 750 MW and Stockholm 650 MW. Production sits in a separate column. The published totals on the same table are 20,350 MW of production applications and 25,950 MW of consumption applications. Those are county-rounded queue totals. They are not a list of halls.
The useful reading is therefore negative. The table has two columns only: production and consumption. It does not publish a data-center row. Norrbotten’s 11,400 MW is not Meta Luleå and not Boden. Stockholm’s 650 MW is not Conapto or Bahnhof. Dalarna’s 1,650 MW is not Falun plus Horndal. Gävleborg’s 2,450 MW is not Microsoft’s named municipalities. Västernorrland’s 1,350 MW is not Hamre. Skåne’s 250 MW and Halland’s 250 MW are not Staffanstorp or Falkenberg.
Three neighbouring artefacts stay on their own rows. The national type table of 1 September 2026 already records 6,984 MW of data-center consumption applications. The bidding-area page reviewed on 2 September 2026 already splits that data-center row by SE1–SE3. The reserved-and-allocated page does not split 2026 reservations by county or by data center. This note records only the county split of all requested capacity.
DataCenterSweden therefore stores the 2 September 2026 county page as a geography split of requested production and consumption. No project identifier is attached. The next Swedish cell still needs a property-level paper from the local, regional or transmission owner. Until then, 11,400 MW stays a rounded Norrbotten consumption-application total — not reserved import and not energised IT load.
Why it matters
A county consumption total is the easiest Swedish figure to paste onto a municipal brochure as spare data-center power. The 2 September table is usable only if 11,400 MW stays requested, rounded and untyped — and if no hall name is written into a cell the authority left as consumption.
What remains unknown
The county page does not split any cell by data center, does not name applicants, and does not publish a reservation or allocation for a hall in this register.
