The Odensala–Kappetorp rebuild start is Storstockholm Väst, not the Plenninge–Odensala filing

Svenska kraftnät’s 21 January 2026 note says renewal of the existing overhead line began in early January 2026 in Sigtuna, carried out by Dalekovod through 2026. A rebuild start on this western-Stockholm corridor is not the Uppsala Plenninge–Odensala paper.

Svenska kraftnät’s Odensala–Kappetorp hub, fetched with a 21 January 2026 rebuild note, is the dated source used here. The note says work to renew the existing overhead line began in early January 2026. The work is carried out by Dalekovod for Svenska kraftnät and will continue through 2026 inside Sigtuna Municipality. A rebuild of an existing line is not a commissioned new 400 kV circuit.

The government sentence must stay a government sentence. A 21 October 2025 note on the same hub says the government’s decision means Svenska kraftnät can next year start building the 25 kilometre line from Odensala in Sigtuna, via Upplands Väsby, to Överby in Sollentuna. A 25 June 2024 note says the Energy Markets Inspectorate granted network concession on 24 June 2024 for a new 400 kV overhead line between Odensala and Överby. Those are permission rows. They are not reserved hall offtake.

The facts-box sentence must stay a facts-box sentence. The hub prints the stretch from station Odensala in Sigtuna Municipality to station Kappetorp in Sollentuna Municipality, names Sigtuna, Upplands Väsby and Sollentuna, writes a proposed alignment of about 26 kilometres of 400 kV alternating current, and places the work in Storstockholm Väst — 220 kV lines replaced by new 400 kV links. The preliminary timetable prints construction start in 2026 and commissioning of the new line in 2029/2030. Later 2026 works notes on the same hub — a March map, March blasting and April piling — stay later works. They are not this January rebuild start.

Named neighbouring papers stay neighbouring papers. Svenska kraftnät’s Plenninge–Odensala concession filing is a different Uppsala package and stays on its own file. Kappetorp–Kronåsen, Kronåsen–Råcksta, Anneberg–Skanstull and Ellevio’s Stockholm snapshot stay on their own dockets. This article does not merge Odensala–Överby into Plenninge–Odensala.

DataCenterSweden records 21 January 2026 as a Svenska kraftnät Odensala–Kappetorp rebuild-start note. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names a commissioned new line or a reserved consumption agreement. Until then, the January Dalekovod start stays a western-Stockholm rebuild — not reserved Stockholm hall capacity and not the Plenninge filing.

Why it matters

Two different Odensala papers are easy to file as one Uppsala-to-Stockholm hall corridor. The January note is usable only if this rebuild stays Storstockholm Väst — not Plenninge–Odensala.

What remains unknown

The hub names a January rebuild start, a 25 kilometre government window and a 2029/2030 commissioning row. It does not print a reserved hall megawatt or merge this stretch with Plenninge–Odensala.
