Nybro–Hemsjö stringing is a 400 kV construction step, not reserved SE4 campus offtake

On 20 February 2026 Svenska kraftnät said contractor Linjemontage planned to start stringing and explosive splicing at several places along the new Nybro–Hemsjö 400 kV overhead line at the end of February 2026. Stringing is not a hall reservation.

Svenska kraftnät’s Nybro–Hemsjö project hub, fetched with a 20 February 2026 construction note, is the dated stringing source used here. It says that on assignment from Svenska kraftnät the contractor Linjemontage is building a new 400 kV overhead line between Nybro and Hemsjö, and that Linjemontage planned to start stringing and explosive splicing at several places along the line at the end of February 2026. A planned construction step is not a commissioned line.

The route sentence must stay a route sentence. Svenska kraftnät is building a new 400 kV overhead line between Nybro in Nybro Municipality and Hemsjö in Olofström Municipality. The line is about 91 kilometres. The stated purpose is to keep the transmission grid secure as more electricity is transported through south-eastern Sweden and to reduce the risk of a regional outage if a transmission fault occurs. That is a transfer-reliability sentence. It is not a campus envelope.

The timetable row must stay a timetable row. The hub’s current table lists planned commissioning in 2027. Earlier 2025 notes on the same hub describe ongoing earth and foundation works and the start of tower erection. Those are construction-progress rows. They are not a reserved offtake in bidding area 4.

Named neighbouring papers stay on their own files. Svenska kraftnät’s February 2026 investment-pace notice names Ekhyddan–Nybro–Hemsjö among larger investments, but that money-and-transfer paper is a different date. NordSyd, the reserved-connection tables and other SE4 notes stay on their own dockets. This article does not import an 800 MW transfer figure into a stringing day.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a commissioned 2027 line or a reserved hall offtake. Until then, 91 kilometres stays a transmission-construction measure — not reserved south-east hall capacity.

Why it matters

A 91 km SE4 stringing day is easy to file as reserved southern hall power. The February note is usable only if Linjemontage’s step stays a construction step.
