Njutånger–Mehedeby’s February filing is a 150 km NordSyd pair, not the Tierp zoning paper

Svenska kraftnät’s 5 February 2026 note says a concession application for two new 400 kV lines between Njutånger and Mehedeby has been filed. A 150-kilometre rebuild through Gävleborg and Uppsala counties is not the Tierp Mehedeby plan-opinion.

It says a network-concession application has been sent to the Energy Markets Inspectorate for two new 400 kV lines between Njutånger and Mehedeby. A 220 kV line and a 400 kV line that have reached the end of their technical life are to be demolished as part of the same rebuild. A filing is not reserved offtake.

The geography sentence must stay a geography sentence. The printed facts say the stretch is about 150 kilometres and passes through Hudiksvall, Söderhamn, Gävle, Älvkarleby and Tierp. A new transmission station is planned at Njutånger. Where possible the lines follow existing rights-of-way. Passing through Tierp Municipality is a corridor fact. It is not the municipal Mehedeby plan-opinion for a data-centre investigation.

The timetable sentence must stay a timetable sentence. Consultation ran from April to September 2024, with a complementary Valbo consultation in the autumn. Inspectorate handling is expected in 2027. Construction is planned for 2029, with the new lines in service in 2034–2035. It is not a reserved hall megawatt on this stretch.
