Svenska kraftnät’s Nässe–Vattjom filing is a NordSyd pair, not reserved Midlanda hall power

On 4 March 2026 Svenska kraftnät said it had filed for network concession to build two new 400 kV overhead lines between Nässe in Sollefteå and Vattjom in Sundsvall. A filed pair is not reserved campus offtake.

Svenska kraftnät’s 4 March 2026 filing note is the dated source used here. It says the authority has sent a network-concession application to the Energy Markets Inspectorate for two new 400 kV overhead lines between Nässe in Sollefteå Municipality and Vattjom in Sundsvall Municipality. The project also plans to demolish one existing 400 kV overhead line that has reached the end of its technical life. An Inspectorate review is not a granted concession.

The length sentence must stay a length sentence. The filing note’s fact box prints a stretch of about 100 kilometres through Sollefteå, Ragunda, Kramfors, Timrå and Sundsvall. The hub’s fact box prints 95 kilometres, and the hub’s project text says about 90 kilometres. Those are the printed figures on each page. This article does not invent a blended kilometre. Programme lead Anna Isenberg’s wording on the filing note stays an operator comment — not a hall agreement.

The NordSyd sentence must stay a NordSyd sentence. The filing note places Nässe–Vattjom inside NordSyd, Svenska kraftnät’s largest investment package. When NordSyd is fully built toward the late 2030s, transfer capacity between bidding areas 2 and 3 is estimated to rise from about 7,300 MW to about 10,500 MW. That is a package transfer range. It is not reserved hall consumption. The note prints an Inspectorate decision expected in 2027, construction in 2028–2029 and commissioning in 2032. A later 1 September 2026 hub note adds ground surveys from October along the planned stretches and a branch to Bandsjö, through 2027. Those are survey rows. They are not a reservation.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a granted concession, a legal-force decision or a construction start. Why it matters

A Västernorrland 400 kV pair next to Torsboda and Bandsjö is easy to file as reserved Midlanda hall power. The March filing is usable only if the NordSyd transfer range stays a transfer range.

What remains unknown

The pages name a filed pair, printed kilometre variants and a NordSyd transfer range. They do not print a granted concession or a reserved hall megawatt beside Nässe–Vattjom.
