Svenska kraftnät starts construction of Munga 400 kV station

The operator says construction of the new 400 kV station at Munga, in Västerås, begins in late August 2026. The named contractors are Koncar and NYAB. A station construction start is not reserved hall offtake, and it is not a concession paper for the connecting lines.

The printed timetable on that note puts line permit in June 2026, station works from August 2026 to 2028, and commissioning in December 2028. Those dates stay a timetable. Commissioning in 2028 is not energised offtake in 2026.

The same note says four new transmission lines and a Vattenfall Eldistribution regional station will connect when the station is finished. Those connections stay a when-finished sentence. They are not live circuits in August 2026, and they are not a named campus reservation.

Early works named on the page include tree felling, blasting, and road widening. Those civil verbs stay civil verbs. They are not a reserved megawatt figure.
