Government confirms Munga–Hamra after June 2026 appeals

The 8 June 2026 hub note says appeals against the 16 December 2024 concession were rejected. Legal force on this 45-kilometre stretch is not the August station shovel.

Svenska kraftnät's Munga–Hamra hub, read on 12 September 2026, is the dated source used here. An 8 June 2026 note says the government rejected appeals in June 2026 against the Energy Markets Inspectorate concession of 16 December 2024. The stretch is printed as about 45 kilometres of 400 kV through Västerås, Sala, and Enköping, with a new station at Munga. A government confirmation is not reserved hall offtake.

The printed timetable puts construction in 2027 and commissioning in 2028. Those years stay a timetable. They are not the late-August 2026 station works, which stay a later neighbouring paper.

The new Munga station named on this hub stays a station named on a line paper. It is not by itself a campus, and it is not a reserved megawatt.

This note must stay a Munga–Hamra note. It is not Bysingsberg–Munga, and it is not the April Västerås contractor package.

DataCenterSweden records 8 June 2026 as the hub confirmation date. Later land-agreement clocks and the August station start stay neighbouring papers.

Why it matters

The longer Västerås–Enköping 400 kV infeed now has government confirmation, still a year class away from line construction.

What remains unknown

When line construction inside 2027 actually starts, and what offtake is reserved, is not in the 8 June note.
