Svenska kraftnät’s Mehedeby–Jälla marking day is a forest-corridor walk, not reserved Uppsala hall power

Svenska kraftnät’s 11 September 2025 Mehedeby–Jälla note says marking of the forest corridor and valuation of woodland now start between Tierp and Uppsala. A marking day is not reserved offtake, and the January 2025 concession is still under government appeal.

Svenska kraftnät’s 11 September 2025 marking note is the dated Mehedeby–Jälla source used here. It says marking of the forest corridor for the new lines between Mehedeby in Tierp Municipality and Jälla in Uppsala Municipality now starts, followed by valuation and stamping of woodland. Affected property owners have been informed by letter. A marking day is not a reserved offtake.

The method sentence must stay a method sentence. The cleared corridor width will vary but is written as mainly about 75–90 metres. Trees that must be felled inside the corridor, and dangerous edge trees outside it, are colour-stamped. Valuation of the land taken by the lines is the basis for compensation offers and easement agreements. Sweco AB is written as the contractor for valuation and stamping. Those are access facts. They are not a construction start.

The concession sentence must stay a concession sentence. The Energy Markets Inspectorate granted the network concession in January 2025. The decision was appealed. The note says the government is now handling the case. Marking under an appealed concession is not legal force and not a reserved megawatt.
