The government’s Kappetorp–Kronåsen yes is a 7.5 km start window, not reserved Stockholm hall power

Svenska kraftnät’s 1 July 2026 hub note says a government decision means the authority can start building the 7.5 kilometre overhead line from Kappetorp to Kronåsen, both in Sollentuna, in winter 2026/2027. A start window is not reserved city-hall offtake.

The note says the government’s decision means Svenska kraftnät can start building the 7.5 kilometre overhead line from Kappetorp to Kronåsen, both in Sollentuna Municipality, in winter 2026/2027. A government yes is not a live 400 kV circuit and not a reserved offtake.

The package sentence must stay a package sentence. The hub places the stretch in Storstockholm Väst, the name for several western-Stockholm transmission reinforcements where 220 kV lines are replaced by new 400 kV links. The facts box prints the stretch between station Kappetorp in Sollentuna and Kronåsen, names Järfälla, Sollentuna and Stockholm as the affected municipalities, and writes an investigation area of about 17 kilometres of 400 kV alternating current. Those are package facts. They are not a hall reservation.

The neighbouring concession must stay a neighbouring concession. An 18 June 2025 note on the same hub says the Energy Markets Inspectorate on 30 May granted Svenska kraftnät network concession for a new 400 kV overhead line between Överby in Sollentuna and Beckomberga in Stockholm. That is a different dated concession row. The hub timetable still prints a preliminary construction start in 2027 and commissioning of a new line in 2029. Those older rows are not overwritten here into invented megawatts.

Named neighbouring papers stay neighbouring papers. The Kronåsen–Råcksta contractor award, the Odensala–Kappetorp rebuild start, Anneberg–Skanstull’s tunnel-boring note and Ellevio’s Stockholm snapshot stay on their own files. This article does not import a reserved Stockholm hall megawatt into a July government window.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a construction start on the 7.5 kilometre stretch, a commissioned circuit or a reserved consumption agreement. Why it matters

A western-Stockholm government yes is easy to file as spare city-hall power. The July note is usable only if the 7.5 kilometre window stays a window.

What remains unknown

The hub names a winter 2026/2027 start window and a neighbouring Överby–Beckomberga concession. It does not print a reserved hall megawatt or a commissioned Kappetorp–Kronåsen circuit.
