The Hallsberg–Moholm–Timmersdala close is a consultation end, not reserved Skaraborg hall power

Svenska kraftnät’s 4 June 2026 note says consultation has closed on a new alignment to and from a new Moholm station, needed to amend the existing concession for the Hallsberg–Moholm–Timmersdala 400 kV renewal. A closed consultation is not reserved offtake.

It says the Hallsberg–Moholm–Timmersdala renewal needs an application to amend network concession for stretches planned in new alignments. In April 2026 Svenska kraftnät invited consultation on an investigation corridor for a new location, where the line will leave the existing right-of-way to and from a new station in Moholm. A closed consultation is not a filed amendment and not a construction start.

The corridor sentence must stay a corridor sentence. The hub says Svenska kraftnät is planning a renewal of the existing 400 kV line between Hallsberg in Hallsberg Municipality and Timmersdala in Skövde Municipality. The line will also connect to a new station in Moholm to enable offtake in the area. Technique is 400 kV overhead alternating current. Length is about 11 Swedish miles. The named municipalities are Askersund, Gullspång, Hallsberg, Laxå, Mariestad, Skövde and Töreboda, in Örebro and Västra Götaland counties. Those are rebuild facts. They are not a hall agreement.

The board sentence must stay a board sentence. Svenska kraftnät’s 29 September 2025 press says the board has decided on a new 400 kV line from Hallsberg, via a new station in Moholm, to Timmersdala, and prints a project cost of about 2.4 billion kronor. Today’s 400 kV Hallsberg–Timmersdala line and 220 kV Hallsberg–Moholm line are to be replaced by two modern 400 kV lines. The hub timetable prints construction start in 2032 and commissioning in 2035. Those are rebuild dates and a printed board cost. They are not reserved megawatts.

Why it matters

A Skaraborg rebuild that names a new Moholm station and higher offtake is easy to file as spare west-coast hall power. The June close is usable only if the consultation stays a consultation.

What remains unknown

The pages name a closed consultation, a 2.4 billion board cost and a 2035 commissioning row. They do not print a reserved hall megawatt or a granted Moholm amendment.
