Ekhyddan–Nybro’s legal-force concession is a SE4 transfer permit, not a 2029 hall reservation

On 2 December 2025 Svenska kraftnät said the government had, in the last week of November 2025, granted concession for the new 400 kV line between Oskarshamn Municipality and Nybro Municipality. A legal-force permit is not reserved SE4 offtake.
Svenska kraftnät’s 2 December 2025 project note is the dated legal-force source used here. It says the government has now decided that Svenska kraftnät may build the new line between Oskarshamn Municipality and Nybro Municipality. The authority filed for a 400 kV Ekhyddan–Nybro concession in 2017. In the last week of November 2025 the government granted concession. A granted concession is not a construction start.
The timetable sentence must stay a timetable sentence. The 2 December notice says construction is planned for autumn 2026 or alternatively spring 2027, and that the line is planned to enter operation in 2029. Those are notice dates on that day. This article does not overwrite them with a later hub row. Tree marking and land valuation were already under way, with landowner meetings planned for February on a preliminary basis.
The transfer sentence must stay a transfer sentence. The notice says the line is needed so more electricity can be moved through south-eastern Sweden as demand rises, and so transfer into Sweden’s southernmost bidding area, SE4, can increase once the line is in operation. It is also written as support for NordBalt, the Sweden–Lithuania cable, which requires higher transmission-grid capacity, and as a step that reduces the risk of outages. Those are transfer-and-security sentences. They are not a named hall reservation.
The hub sentence must stay a hub sentence. The Ekhyddan–Nybro hub describes a new 400 kV overhead line of about 98 kilometres between Ekhyddan in Oskarshamn Municipality and Nybro. Named neighbouring papers — the Nybro–Hemsjö stringing note, the February 2026 NordSyd investment-pace page and the reserved-connection tables — stay on their own files. This article does not import an 800 MW NordSyd transfer figure into an Ekhyddan legal-force day.
DataCenterSweden records 2 December 2025 as a Svenska kraftnät legal-force notice for Ekhyddan–Nybro. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names a construction start, a commissioned 2029 line or a reserved SE4 offtake. Until then, 2029 stays a planned operation year — not reserved Småland hall capacity.
Why it matters
A 2029 SE4 line on a legal-force day is easy to file as spare southern-hall power. The December notice is usable only if the concession stays a concession.
What remains unknown
The 2 December notice does not start construction, commission the 2029 line or reserve a named datacentre offtake in SE4.
