Svenska kraftnät bidding-area table: 5,169 MW of data-center applications sit in SE3

Svenska kraftnät’s bidding-area page, reviewed on 2 September 2026, splits requested transmission-network capacity before reservation. Data-center consumption appears as 495 MW in SE1, 1,320 MW in SE2, 5,169 MW in SE3 and a blank cell in SE4. Those are applications still in the queue. They are not reserved megawatts and not a named hall.
The bidding-area page is the dated artefact used here. It says the figures are applications in Svenska kraftnät’s queue until capacity has been reserved and a preliminary notice sent. They are broken down by connection type. Offshore wind is excluded because it has a separate process. The page was reviewed on 2 September 2026. That review date is not rewritten here as a 1 September snapshot.
In that table, data centers appear only on the consumption side: 495 MW in SE1, 1,320 MW in SE2 and 5,169 MW in SE3. The SE4 data-center cell is blank. Neighbouring consumption rows on the same page include industry and other consumption. Those rows are not data-center megawatts. Adding the three published data-center cells produces 6,984 MW. That arithmetic matches the national type table already stored from 1 September 2026. Matching totals do not turn either page into a list of named campuses.
The useful reading is therefore negative as well as positive. Most of the published data-center queue on this page sits in SE3, the bidding area that includes Stockholm. A blank SE4 cell is not proof that no hall can connect in the south. It is a blank cell in a transmission-queue table. SE1’s 495 MW is not Horndal, Luleå or Boden. SE2’s 1,320 MW is not Hamre, Falun or Borlänge. SE3’s 5,169 MW is not Conapto, Bahnhof or an Akalla metro site.
Two neighbouring artefacts stay on their own rows. The national type table of 1 September 2026 already records 6,984 MW of data-center consumption applications. The reserved-and-allocated page reviewed the same day does not split 2026 reservations by data center. This note records only the bidding-area split. It does not assign any cell to a cadastral unit or a network-owner agreement.
DataCenterSweden therefore stores the 2 September 2026 bidding-area page as a geography split of requested capacity. No project identifier is attached. The next Swedish cell still needs a property-level paper from the local, regional or transmission owner. Until then, 495, 1,320 and 5,169 stay labelled as queued applications by bidding area — not reserved import and not energised IT load.
Why it matters
A SE3-heavy queue is easy to paste onto a Stockholm brochure as spare power. The bidding-area table is usable only if 495, 1,320 and 5,169 stay requested and unnamed — and if a blank SE4 cell is not rewritten as a southern surplus.
What remains unknown
The bidding-area page does not name applicants, does not publish a reservation or allocation, and does not assign any cell to a hall in this register.
