Government confirms Bysingsberg–Munga after June 2026 appeals

The 2 July 2026 hub note says appeals against the December 2024 concession were rejected in June. Legal force is not construction and not reserved hall offtake.

Svenska kraftnät's Bysingsberg–Munga hub, read on 12 September 2026, is the dated source used here. A 2 July 2026 note says the government rejected appeals in June 2026 against the Energy Markets Inspectorate concession from December 2024. The stretch is printed as about 25 kilometres of 400 kV, in Västerås municipality only. A government confirmation is not a shovel start, and it is not reserved hall offtake.

The printed timetable on that hub puts construction in 2027 and service in 2028. Those years stay a timetable. Service in 2028 is not energised offtake in July 2026.

NordSyd language on the same hub — a package on the order of 100 billion kronor, and SE2–SE3 transfer rising from about 7,300 MW to about 10,500 MW — stays a package sentence. A package transfer range is not reserved campus power on this 25-kilometre stretch.

This note is not the Munga–Hamra government paper and not the August Munga station construction start. Those stay neighbouring papers.

Why it matters

One of the two Västerås 400 kV infeeds now has government confirmation, still short of construction.

What remains unknown

Exact construction start inside 2027, and any offtake reserved against the new line, is not in the 2 July note.
