Svenska kraftnät’s Betåsen–Nässe build start is a Sollefteå rebuild, not reserved hall offtake

Svenska kraftnät’s 26 August 2026 note says the Betåsen–Nässe 400 kV project has entered the construction phase after the concession gained legal force in January 2026. A construction start is not reserved campus power.

Svenska kraftnät’s 26 August 2026 construction note is the dated rebuild source used here. It says the Energy Markets Inspectorate granted network concession for the new 400 kV line between Betåsen and Nässe in October 2025, that the decision gained legal force in January 2026, and that the project now moves into the construction phase. Forest felling is under way and some preparatory works have begun. The line contract starts in September 2026 and is carried out by Craftor AB for Svenska kraftnät. A contractor start is not a reserved offtake.

The corridor sentence must stay a corridor sentence. The hub says Svenska kraftnät is planning a new 400 kV overhead line between the transmission stations Betåsen and Hjälta in Sollefteå Municipality, then on to the new Nässe station next to Hjälta. The new line is built parallel to the 400 kV line already on the stretch. Four sections of the existing line will be moved so the new line can pass buildings and nature and cultural environments. Some parts of today’s line will be demolished. Those are rebuild facts. They are not a hall agreement.

The Nässe sentence must stay a Nässe sentence. The hub says station Nässe was commissioned in November 2025 and enables connection of more than 500 megawatts of wind production to the transmission network. That is a printed injection figure for wind. It is not reserved hall consumption. The hub timetable prints construction start in 2026, demolition or move of the existing line in 2027/2028, and commissioning of the new line in 2028. Those are rebuild dates. They are not reserved megawatts for a campus.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a commissioned new line, a reserved consumption agreement or a signed offtake beside the corridor. Until then, the 400 kV build stays a Sollefteå rebuild — not reserved Västernorrland hall capacity.

Why it matters

A Sollefteå 400 kV construction start next to a 500 MW wind-injection sentence is easy to file as spare northern-hall power. The August note is usable only if Nässe stays a wind-connection station — not a reserved campus.

What remains unknown

The fetched pages name a legal-force concession, a Craftor contract and a 2028 commissioning row. They do not print a named datacentre applicant or a reserved hall megawatt beside Betåsen–Nässe.
