Stendörren’s Almnäs paper is a building permit, not reserved Södertälje hall megawatts

On 21 July 2026 Stendörren Fastigheter said it had obtained a building permit for a data centre of about 20,000 square metres GFA at Almnäs in Södertälje, with good prospects of securing an initial 20 MW and a later 40 MW. A permit-and-prospect sentence is not reserved offtake.

Stendörren Fastigheter’s 21 July 2026 interim-report notice is the dated permit source used here. The chief executive is quoted that the company has obtained a building permit for a data centre of about 20,000 square metres GFA at Almnäs, Södertälje, and has thereby broadened its product offer. A building permit is not a commissioned hall.

The power sentence must stay a prospect sentence. The same quote says the company sees good prospects of securing electricity supply with an initial capacity of 20 megawatts, with the possibility of gradually increasing that to 40 megawatts. Good prospects are not a reserved offtake and not a signed connection agreement printed on this page.

The neighbouring Almnäs sentence must stay a neighbouring sentence. The same notice, in the events-after-the-quarter block, says that in July Stendörren signed a 15-year lease with a publicly owned company for a newly built light-industrial building of about 2,100 square metres plus about 13,400 square metres of land on the Almnäs 5:23 property in Stockholm Syd, Södertälje. That lease is a light-industrial sentence. It is not this data-centre permit.

Named neighbouring papers stay on their own files. Conapto’s south-Stockholm halls, Binero’s Vallentuna purchase and the reserved-connection tables are different dates and different counterparties. This article does not import a named tenant or a reserved Ellevio megawatt into an Almnäs permit day.

DataCenterSweden records 21 July 2026 as a Stendörren Almnäs building-permit notice. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names a reserved offtake, a construction start or a signed hall lease. Until then, 20 MW and 40 MW stay prospect figures — not reserved Södertälje hall capacity.

Why it matters

A 20,000-square-metre Södertälje permit with a 20-to-40 MW prospect is easy to file as spare south-Stockholm hall power. The July notice is usable only if the permit stays a permit — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The notice does not name a tenant, print a reserved offtake, start construction or say the 20 MW prospect is already secured.
