Statnett’s 19 June Blåfalli–Gismarvik note is a summer works list, not reserved Haugaland hall power

On 19 June 2026 Statnett listed Blåfalli–Gismarvik line works from about 22 June through August in Tysvær, Vindafjord, Etne and Kvinnherad. A summer works list is not reserved offtake.

Statnett’s 19 June 2026 summer-works notice, with the Blåfalli–Gismarvik hub beside it, is the dated construction source used here. The hub writes a new 420 kV line of about 88 kilometres from Blåfalli in Kvinnherad to Gismarvik in Tysvær, plus a new Gismarvik transformer station. Concession is written as received on 29 September 2023, the line reguleringsplan as approved on 4 February 2025, and construction as having started in December 2024. A summer works list is not reserved hall offtake.

The municipality sentence must stay a municipality sentence. The 19 June notice writes planned line work from about 22 June through August. In Tysvær it writes tower erection between Skjoldastraumen and Førlandsfjorden and stringing around Skjoldastraumen. In Vindafjord it writes smaller work around Ølen. In Etne it writes stringing from Stordalen northwards, preparatory work from Litledalen over Strype toward Etne, and stringing over Strype from mid-July through August. In Kvinnherad it writes foundations all summer, then tower assembly. Progress is written as weather-dependent because much of the work uses helicopters. Those are works facts. They are not a reserved megawatt.

The cost sentence must stay a cost sentence. The hub prints 3,300–3,700 million Norwegian kroner as the 2025 update, and says NVE’s PlanNett refreshes the estimate each quarter. That range is a project-cost estimate. It is not a hall price. Build time is written as three to four years. A four-year build window is not a live Haugaland hall.

The next update would need a later primary source that names the line or the Gismarvik station in service, or a reserved consumption agreement beside the 88 kilometres. Until then, the June list stays a construction paper — not reserved Haugaland hall capacity.

Why it matters

An 88-kilometre Haugalandet 420 kV headline with a printed billion-kroner range is easy to file as spare hall power. The 19 June note is usable only if the summer list stays a summer list — not a reservation.

What remains unknown

The pages do not put the line or the Gismarvik station in service or name a reserved hall offtake beside Blåfalli–Gismarvik.
