Smedjebacken’s 10 June 2025 minutes are an industry-plan assignment, not a hall permit

On 10 June 2025 Smedjebacken’s municipal executive instructed the building and environment board to prepare a detailed plan for parts of Jobsbo 4:1, Västansjö 2:7 and Västansjö 5:27 at Röbacken. The minutes describe about 50 hectares of forest and farmland for industrial use. They do not name a datacentre operator.

The executive instructs the building and environment board to prepare a detailed plan for part of Jobsbo 4:1, Västansjö 2:7 and Västansjö 5:27. An instruction to prepare a plan is not an adopted plan and not a building permit.

The land sentence must stay a land sentence. The minutes describe about 50 hectares of forest and farmland intended for industrial use. They refer to the 2018 comprehensive plan for the Röbacken and Vilmoren area. Industrial use is the purpose on this paper. The minutes do not write datacentre, EcoDataCenter or a megawatt.

Property history stays property history. The minutes say the municipality signed an agreement on 3 December 2024 on a property regulation under which part of Jobsbo 4:1 is intended to transfer to the adjoining municipal property Västansjö 2:7. An intended transfer is not a commissioned hall.

Named neighbouring papers stay on their own files. A later land-option notice in Smedjebacken, Falun Hall E, Borlänge Kvarnsveden and Hushagen, and Sandviken Tuna 3:1 are different dates and different instruments. A June 2025 assignment does not become those files.

Why it matters

A Dalarna industrial plan at Röbacken is easy to file as a datacentre site. The June minutes are usable only if the assignment stays industrial land — not a named hall.

What remains unknown

The minutes do not name an operator or a capacity. Whether a later paper attaches a datacentre applicant to these properties is not stated here.
