Polar’s DRA02 note is a Drangedal campus announcement, not a live Norwegian hall

On 23 July 2026 Polar Data Centers announced DRA02, a new building next to DRA01 in Drangedal, written as about 40 MW of IT capacity across more than 21,300 square metres. An announcement is not a commissioned hall.

The size sentence must stay a printed-design sentence. Polar writes approximately 40 MW of IT capacity across more than 21,300 square metres of technical space, with direct liquid cooling and hydroelectric supply described as the power source. Those are design figures. They are not a measured live load and not a named tenant list.

The construction sentence must stay a construction sentence. The note says construction of DRA02 forms part of Polar’s wider European growth strategy. It does not print a first-power date or say the hall is already in service. A strategy sentence is not a commissioning certificate.

A 40 MW Drangedal headline next to an existing DRA01 building is easy to file as live Norwegian hall power. The July note is usable only if the announcement stays an announcement — not a commissioned hall.

What remains unknown

The note does not name a tenant, print a first-power date or say DRA02 is already in service.
