Green Mountain’s 20 August 2026 Undheim paper is a planned 100 MW campus, not a live hall

On 20 August 2026 Green Mountain published a Menon Economics analysis of a data centre it is developing at Undheim in Time municipality, Rogaland. The facility is planned with a total power capacity of 100 MW and is expected to create around 100 permanent on-site jobs. Planned and expected are not a Norwegian commissioning, and they are not Hamar.

Green Mountain’s 20 August 2026 Undheim page is the dated campus-and-power source used here. It says Green Mountain is developing a new data center at Undheim in Time municipality, Rogaland. The facility is planned with a total power capacity of 100 MW and is expected to create around 100 permanent on-site jobs. Planned and expected are the operator’s words. One hundred megawatts is not energised IT load and not a Swedish megawatt.

The economic sentences are Menon Economics estimates and must stay labelled as estimates. During construction the project is estimated to support approximately 4,700 full-time equivalents in Norway, including close to 1,300 in Rogaland, and NOK 5.9 billion in total value creation. Once fully operational, activity is estimated to support around 135 FTEs, NOK 1.3 billion in annual value creation and NOK 155 million in annual tax revenues. Estimated, approximately and once fully operational are not a 2026 payroll certificate. This article does not add 4,700 and 135.

The page is an impact paper, not a grid paper. It does not publish a Statnett reservation, a connection agreement or a commissioning date. Wider supplier effects during construction and operations are Menon’s modelled consequences. They are not a hall list and not spare Rogaland import.

Named Nordic campus rows stay on their own papers. One hundred megawatts at Undheim does not become OSL-Hamar’s 90 MW initial contract or Hamre.

The next update would need a later primary source that names a construction start, a connection position or a commissioning. Until then, 100 MW stays a planned total power capacity beside estimated jobs.

Why it matters

A named Norwegian 100 MW campus with job estimates is easy to file as live Nordic AI power. The August paper is usable only if 100 MW stays planned and the Menon figures stay estimates — not a Swedish spare-power cell.

What remains unknown
