GlobalConnect’s 9 October 2025 Stockholm paper is +1.2 MW and Exergi heat, not a 10 MW IT hall

On 9 October 2025 GlobalConnect said it is expanding its southern Stockholm data centre — the largest in its Swedish portfolio — with a new zone of about 600 square metres and 1.2 MW, more than an 80 percent increase, to about 2.7 MW in total, planned in service in 2026. A fact-box heat sentence of up to 10 MW stays heat. It is not IT load and not Conapto.

GlobalConnect’s 9 October 2025 notice is the dated campus-and-heat source used here. The expansion covers a new data zone of about 600 square metres and a capacity increase of 1.2 megawatts — more than an 80 percent increase in the facility’s total capacity. After the expansion, total capacity is about 2.7 MW. The new zone is planned to enter service in 2026. About and planned are the issuer’s words. They are not a commissioning certificate.

Security and heat stay on their own lines. The new zone is built to security class 3. In connection with the expansion the facility is connected to the local district-heating network so surplus heat is recovered into Stockholm Exergi’s network. A preliminary calculation says the solution can contribute heat corresponding to about 2,700 apartments. Preliminary is not a 2025 metered megawatt-hour.

The fact box on the same page must not be added to the IT figures. It says surplus heat of up to 10 MW of heat energy is recovered into the district-heating network. Up to 10 MW of heat energy is a heat sentence. It is not 1.2 MW and not 2.7 MW. This article does not add 1.2 and 10.

Named Stockholm heat and campus rows stay separate. Conapto’s Exergi arrangement, EEM’s Eskilstuna contract, Glesys Falkenberg and Conapto’s Stockholm 4 and Stockholm 5 papers are different issuers. A southern Stockholm GlobalConnect zone does not become those files.

DataCenterSweden records 9 October 2025 as a +1.2 MW southern Stockholm expansion with an Exergi heat sentence. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names a 2026 commissioning or a measured heat delivery. Until then, 2.7 MW stays a planned total beside a separate 10 MW heat-energy line.

Why it matters

A Stockholm heat headline with 10 MW in a fact box is easy to file as a 10 MW IT campus. The October notice is usable only if 1.2 MW and 2.7 MW stay IT sentences and 10 MW stays heat energy.

What remains unknown

The notice does not publish a 2026 commissioning date, a measured heat megawatt-hour, or a street address for the southern Stockholm hall.
