Glesys’s Oulu campus paper is a Trevian agreement, not a live Finnish hall

On 4 June 2026 Glesys said it had signed an agreement with Trevian Asset Management for Campus Oulu, with a first phase written as about 8 MW of IT load in autumn 2026 and a long-term potential of up to 300 MW. An agreement is not a commissioned hall.

Glesys’s 4 June 2026 Campus Oulu note is the dated Finnish source used here. It says Glesys has signed an agreement with Trevian Asset Management to establish a modular AI-ready campus in Oulu. An agreement is not a commissioned hall.

The megawatt sentence must stay a printed-phase sentence. The first deployment is expected to be ready for service in autumn 2026 and is written as an initial IT load of approximately 8 MW. Long-term expansion potential is printed as up to 300 MW. Those are programme figures. They are not a measured live load.

The heat sentence must stay a discussion sentence. The note says discussions regarding the use of surplus heat within local energy systems are underway. A discussion is not a signed heat-offtake contract and not delivered district heat.

Until then, 8 MW stays an autumn-2026 target — not a live Finnish campus.

Why it matters

An Oulu headline that prints 8 MW now and 300 MW later is easy to file as spare northern-Finland hall power. The June note is usable only if the agreement stays an agreement — not a commissioned campus.

What remains unknown

The note does not commission the first 8 MW, convert the 300 MW potential into a reservation or sign a heat-offtake contract.
