Fingrid’s Verkkokiikari update is an indicative map, not reserved Finnish campus megawatts

On 14 April 2026 Fingrid said its Verkkokiikari map now shows free regional capacity separately for electricity production, consumption and storage. A map class is not a reserved offtake.
Fingrid’s 14 April 2026 notice is the dated map-update source used here. It says the Verkkokiikari map service, which presents transmission-grid connection opportunities, has been renewed. The map now also shows free regional capacities and regional restrictions for electricity storage, alongside production and consumption. A renewed map is not a reserved campus.
The layer sentence must stay a layer sentence. Connection opportunities — the amount of free capacity — are now shown separately for electricity production, consumption and storage. Capacities are stated by substation and by power line. Regional capacity restrictions can also be selected. Capacities take into account existing connections, agreed connections and possible grid reinforcements. Those are map-method sentences. They are not a named hall reservation.
The caution sentence must stay a caution sentence. Capacity data are added and updated regularly. The figures are indicative and may also be partly incorrect. Final connection capacity must always be asked of Fingrid separately. A realised new project also affects the connection capacity of other substations and lines. The service is free of charge. Those are caution sentences. They are not a widget cell to copy into a campus file.
Named neighbouring papers stay on their own files. Magnora’s Hämeenlinna connection notice, Fingrid’s earlier signed data-centre and storage notes and other Finnish campus papers are different dates and different counterparties. This article does not copy a map cell into a campus reservation.
DataCenterSweden records 14 April 2026 as a Fingrid Verkkokiikari map-update notice. No project identifier is attached. The next update would need a later primary source that names a reserved Finnish offtake or a commissioned connection beside a printed map class. Until then, the map stays indicative — not reserved Finnish hall capacity.
Why it matters
A coloured Finnish capacity map is easy to file as spare campus power. The April notice is usable only if the layers stay indicative — not reserved.
What remains unknown
The notice does not print a named campus, a reserved offtake or a widget cell that this file may copy.
